To be honest, I don’t have an answer… I guess it all depends on whether you or your clients have the money to pay to ensure minimal failures of your digital signage solution. I guess maintenance is like paying for life/car/house insurance. It’s one of those things that you need to have just “in case” something does happen to the hardware and you need it replaced within a reasonable time frame.
